Yeah! [Sort of.] She's in training like me. She has more time to train, now that we're away from the senate and the Alliance everything.

The Rebel Alliance.

[Luke kind of wants to die right now.]

Smuggling. A lot of smuggling.

[His voice breaks in the middle there.]

[Ahsoka just levels him with A Look.]

I don't think you're telling me the whole truth.

[ Time to blame someone else. ]

I... don't think my father would like it if I, uh, ruined the surprise.

... Hm. Good idea!

[ Luke loves spending time with Anakin too much for that to be a successful bluff. He even has an excuse in the form of his favorite child! ]

[She says it, and it sounds a little bit smug. Like, "Ha! I bet you thought I didn't know that."]

[ He can't stop grinning. ]

[And with that she seems to jump up and switch her comm off, before racing to the shuttle bay.]

[ he stares at the two of them and their boundless energy. running away right then and there is tempting but he folds his hand behind his back instead, looking every inch the master he should be (honestly, just got nervous and starts mimicking obi-wan here) ]

[Luke, meanwhile, is just trying to keep from being too obviously delighted (even though Ahsoka obviously cheated) in getting here first. Bouncing on his heels, beaming, he gestures to Ahsoka.]

Your padawan has a few questions. [Ha.] Lots of questions.

[Like two siblings who have come to a parent to settle a dispute:]

Master, is it true you work for a smuggling company in the future?

For the record, I think you can do better than that, even if you're not a Jedi.

[ he raises an eyebrow and looks slowly from ahsoka to luke ]

[ he place his hand on ahsoka's shoulder, taking advantage of her glitch. ]

But to answer your question, how would I know what the future holds for me, Padawan? If I focused so much on it, I wouldn't be a very good Jedi.

[Ahsoka opens her mouth and takes a breath to reply to that, but she doesn't have any very good answers... so she closes it again. With a little petulant groan.]

[Luke is... surprised to see this side of his father, the gentle teacher he didn't know existed. It keeps a smug grin from appearing on his face; instead, he looks thoughtful.]

[Really, he takes little pleasure from Ahsoka's obvious dissatisfaction. It reminds him of himself, in more ways than one, and that sits poorly with him. So he asks gently,]

Is there anything else you wanted to know?
