free and easy love, that's how it's s'posed to be!
want to thread with one of mine but aren't in the same game? want me to do something with one of yours in bakerstreet? can't find a good recent bakerstreet meme but want to thread anyway? want to explore au scenarios together? annoyed that i dropped that character you really wanted a thread with?
well drop me a comment here with whatever scenario (or link to a meme) you want, specify the character you want, and we can thread the merry day away!
any active or retired character from the muse list with two stars or more is fair game!
homeless characters are slightly different in that most of them don't have journals or icons set up, so you may have to give me a day or so to do that. and in some cases, a couple more days to canon review if i haven't in a while.

It's not even charitable, since she isn't relieved Ahsoka's alive or anything like that. She's simply extraordinarily glad to see another face again, even if she can only make out more prominent features in the dim light, which makes even Ahsoka's vivid skin look pallid and grey. Barriss has spent months in here, and the only people she sees are the blank helmets of the clones. She hadn't realize how starved she was for interaction until now, and she takes in every detail about Ahsoka greedily.
When it's obvious Ahsoka isn't here to kill her, at least not immediately, Barriss relaxes somewhat. Only a little, and only outwardly: the fact that Ahsoka snuck in rather than come on official Jedi business doesn't bode well for their meeting. ]
So nice of you to visit.
[ She manages finally, her elegant voice left choked with bitterness and rasping with disuse; when was the last time she spoke aloud? Right now she sounds more like Ventress than herself. A hard swallow, a clear of her throat. Tests her voice again unsteadily: ]
Ahsoka.
[ Yes. Yes, much better. A few more swallows, she'll sound herself in no time. ]

There's a pause for a moment while she looks Barriss up and down, unsure really of what to say. She'd scripted so many different lines, questions to ask. And now that they're finally in front of one another, she can't think of a single one of them.]
... What, no break out yet? It was so easy, last time.
[That wasn't what she meant to say. Why did she say that?]

You mean you're not here to set me free?
[ Her eyes narrow, lips curling for a brief moment into a pout. ]
Ahsoka, I'm hurt.
no subject
Set you free?
[Ahsoka's voice nearly cracks on that last word, and she realises belatedly her voice is too loud. Her next words are noticeably quieter as she dials it down-- but no less heated.]
Barriss, you're a murderer.

She wants to be cool and composed, emotionless, but instead she's twitchy with the possibility that this visit will be cut short. It's not as though she'll be seen as blameless if they catch Ahsoka in here, but more than any penalty, the thought of being alone again is crushing.
The distraction also means the words don't quite strike her the way they might have otherwise, and her riposte isn't exactly quick off the block. ]
Every Jedi who condones the war is a murderer.

[Ahsoka had disliked the Separatists on principle since the war began, but it had felt so personal until Kiros-- the deliberate kidnapping and enslavement of her people was so senseless. Hundreds of Togruta died at the hands of the Zygerrian slavers the Separatists had sold them to, and for what?]
We're supposed to protect people. Do you really believe that there's no difference between taking a life to protect yourself or others, when there's no other alternative, and the cold-blooded, deliberate murder of people who weren't even doing anything other than going about their daily lives?
