homeless characters are slightly different in that most of them don't have journals or icons set up, so you may have to give me a day or so to do that. and in some cases, a couple more days to canon review if i haven't in a while.

[It's been a while since he did a summoning of this caliber-- it takes all his concentration to get the long incantations out. It's not that this is difficult for him, exactly-- nothing is difficult for John Mandrake-- but a sloppy magician is a dead magician. So, even though he knows he can do this, he tries to maintain the same level of intensity and focus that he always does.]

[Finally, the last syllable is uttered and John allows himself to breathe again, a trickle of sweat rolling down his forehead. He's standing safe in his pentagram, nothing can hurt him. All he has to do now is wait for the demon to appear in the other pentagram opposite.]

[He must have done his summoning well because something certainly materializes in the pentagram, though whether he intended to summon a young woman wearing only a silk basque is another matter. She pouts a little, looking around the room before letting her gaze settle on him and she smiles.]

Without even an invitation... such a bold young sir, isn't he?

[Going almost completely red in the face-- he averts his eyes out of embarrassment for only a brief second before he seems to change his mind and settle his eyes on her stubbornly, as if making a conscious decision to refuse to be intimidated.]

Excuse you. I most certainly did invite you, or you wouldn't be here. And if you insist on wearing such a... such a gauche body, then I insist you wear something decent.
