homeless characters are slightly different in that most of them don't have journals or icons set up, so you may have to give me a day or so to do that. and in some cases, a couple more days to canon review if i haven't in a while.

We're heading out of the city. There's a river about a mile west, so we should be able to come out a storm water drain, so long as we follow the flow in the right direction.

[ they backtracked briefly, but otherwise he's keeping on in the same direction: if they're forced to go in the wrong direction he has to find a way to right them, but the sewers aren't that labyrinthine — not the walkable bits. there are plenty of smaller offshoots. that gush water. ]

[She narrowly avoids asking "Are we there yet?" but it's a near thing. Instead she opts to walk in silence again. It doesn't last long, though. Not even five minutes later, she speaks up again.]

... Why'd you do it?

I really need to concentrate. I didn't exactly study a map of the city sewers.

I know he was your SO and all, but-- why join Hydra for him? They're evil. He was evil!

I told you once, what my family was like. John Garrett was an asshole, but he was up front about it. Said don't trust anyone, son, not even me. But he was the first person to ever show me I could make something of myself. I was trained by him long before he ever used the words SHIELD or HYDRA.

Luck? You want to blame your shitty decisions on luck? No way, you don't get to weasel out of it that easily. Sure, it was unlucky that it was Garrett who mentored you. I can grant that much. I'm not unreasonable. But you must have had... I don't know, years with him! You didn't have to stay with him. You could've gotten out.
