homeless characters are slightly different in that most of them don't have journals or icons set up, so you may have to give me a day or so to do that. and in some cases, a couple more days to canon review if i haven't in a while.

[Someone's sitting in a cafe in New York, stretching as she sits back from her laptop, satisfied. She then takes a sip of her coffee, looking reasonably smug.]

And now, we wait. Let's see if your tech is really as good as your reputation, Mr. Stark.

[Even talking to herself in a low voice, her tone is immensely self-congratulatory. After all, it's not just anyone who can hack into Tony Stark's servers.]

[It takes 30 seconds for Jarvis to notice the break-in, and 90 to pin-point Skye's location. Tony needed his morning coffee, though, so it's about 7 minutes before Ironman lands outside of the cafe.

Tony runs a quick scan of the inside before stepping out of the suit and walking inside. It doesn't take him long to spot Skye, so he walks over and sits across from her.]

Bit overboard for an autograph, don't you think?

[hackitude]

[Skye gives him a casual wave when he sits down, grinning.]

Whoa, you really came in person. I'm impressed. Don't you have like, people to do this for you? I would totally have people to do this for me, if I had your cash. Gotta say though, kinda disappointed on the reaction time.

[biggerstick]

I don't need people to do this for me because this does not happen. Ever.

[he flags down a waiter and asks for a donut.]

And I would've come in sooner but I didn't want to ruin the mystery too soon. So, what's your deal?

[A shrug.]

Can't resist a good challenge-- Fitz said your servers were "practically unhackable," and I had time to kill.

Also, I figured if they were as good as he claimed, then they're better than SHIELD's were. Which isn't saying much, but all the same. Good practice is hard to come by. I actually learned stuff. You know how it is-- gotta stay ahead of the curve.

SHIELD? Are you looking for a job?

What? Oh-- no. God damn it, what is it with all the cool job offers only now I actually have a job? Granted, one that doesn't actually... pay... anymore...

Well, we're taking in a lot of former SHIELD people. You'd have to prove you're not crazy, but that's pretty much it. You'd get to play with most advanced tech on the planet.

Also, we got a great dental plan.

[Skye gives him a little half-confused, half-amused smile.]

What kind of super-villain would answer "yes" to that question, I ask you? ... Actually, probably a super over-powered one, so never mind.

More on point, what kinda super-villain does their dirty work from inside a Starbucks? Like, for real, if you're that bad a dude, you've gotta have a lair.

I'm SHIELD. I mean, I was SHIELD. Before the whole, you know, SHIELD secretly being full of HYDRA agents and then not officially existing anymore because it got labelled by the US government as being a terrorist organisation... thing.
